Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions Club

Announcements :

Our member Lion Tammy Brunson had a vision, to support our local School. With hard work and dedication she raised over $17,000 in donations for educational books that were in need to be replaced. Now our social studies students and elementary students have new books to last another decade or more. What a fantastic undertaking and we are forever grateful! Way to go Tammy!

* *WOW - the Pride has been busy! Since our charter date (2007) we have had 7 new babies born!
* *First arrival born to Lion Jacki Suchy! A third generation Lion.
* *Second arrival born to past Lion Chelsey Rhoads!
* *Third arrival born to Lion Dawn Moske!
* *Fourth arrival born to Lion Tonya Woodworth!
* *Fifth arrival born to Lion Jen Steidl!
* *Sixth arrival born to Lion Rachel Grabow!
* *Seventh arrival born to Lion Patty Simonson!
Way to go Girls! Remember to teach your children the valuable lessons to Serve our community with Pride!

Activities :

* *12/06/2008 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions held the annual communities Prairie Christmas.
* *09/27/2008 We hosted our 1st Wine & Ale Tasting at the Prairie Event Center. We had a huge success and plan to continue each year. The proceeds received were donated to Parkers Prairie School District for books.
* *07/12/2008 2nd Annual Motorcycle Fun Ride for Youth will be held. Proceeds to support the youth.
* *10/25/2007 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted the Zone 9 meeting.
* *10/14/2007 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted the 5M9 Mini Forum at the Prairie Event Center. Past Distisct Governor Carroll Kukowski officiated. We love her!
* *09/15/2007 The Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted our official Charter Night. We had a wonderful turn-out and were very touched by the warm reception we received from our neighboring Lions. Thanks to all that helped make this a night we'll always remember.
* *08/15/2007 The Lion Pride held a Mutt Strut at our communities annual Fall Festival. What fun! We plan to expand on this event and are sure to see it grow much bigger.
* *07/07/2007 Our FIRST EVENT as a club. We had our first annual Motorcycle Run 4 Youth (by the way, we are an ALL GIRLS club). This was a big undertaking and we didn't raise a bunch of money - but we had a wonderful turn out for a "first time event". We all learned a lot. We're looking forward to next July and our second ralley.
